Operation Instructions for TCX56/57 Tire Charger
44
NOTICE
The operating pressure of the tyre changer and PT must be between 8 and 10 bar.
If it is lower and the procedures are not carried out exactly as described, there may
be problems with the rim slipping on the chuck.
To solve this problem, during mounting of the second bead, make sure that the
entire section of tyre between the fixed and rotary arms of the PT is correctly
positioned inside the well of the rim.
It is also essential to emphasise that excessive pressure in this stage may also
cause slipping problems, so keep the working arms of the PT at the correct height.
When using the bead pressing disc, never apply excessive pressure, and never press
hard enough to cause deformation of the tread surface.
WARNING
Keep turning until the second bead is completely mounted, checking that the edge guard
remains in place in the traction point.
The PT has a mechanical system which automatically gradually reduces the
pressure applied by the bead pressing disc as it rotates, to prevent damage to the
tyre.
NOTICE
Raise the PT arms.
Unlock the BPT with its release button.
Tilt up the arm and secure with its pin.
Move the pt and vertical post to the retracted position.
2.7 Match Mounting
Move the articulated arm of the BPS to the edge of the rim and lower the upper bead press
disc down. Lower the upper bead press disc to approximately half the depth of the rim.
Position the lower disc at the rim edge on the bottom of the assembly and lock it in place.
Raise the lower disc such that the pitch between the upper and discs is approximately equal.
