Site Preparation

Machine Overview

Preparing the Site

Foundation Supporting the Machine

Ensure foundation supports machine weight; use continuous concrete and leveling pads compatible with soil.

Machine Dimensions

Check door and route clearances; shipping and operating dimensions detailed in specifications.

Electrical Service Requirements

Customer provides power; ensure compliance with codes, 3-phase, voltage, and amperage specifications.

Calculating Service Fusing

Determine incoming AC Voltage and 3-Phase service to calculate required service fusing.

Recommended Isolation Transformer Configuration

Customer provides transformer if required; Wye configuration is recommended for machine power.

Grounding Equipment

Connect SPG terminal to AC power source ground circuit; ensure conductor size conforms to electrical codes.

Compressed Air Requirements

Continuous clean, dry air needed; use 13mm pipe, install drip leg, avoid quick-couplers.

Recommended Operating Temperature

Operate 0-35°C (32-95°F) up to 95% humidity; use AC for ambient temps >35°C.

Tool Retention Knobs

Required for machining centers; attach to tool holders for spindle clamp mechanism.

Machine Arrival

Inspecting for Damage

Inspect for shipping damage before unloading; check shock meter sensor and structural integrity.

Machine Handling and Positioning

Covers moving, lifting requirements, and removing auxiliary equipment from shipping pallet.

Lowering the Machine onto its Foundation

Position over spot, lower to 150-250mm, position pads, adjust leveling bolts for rough level and balance.

Attend hands-on classes to learn programming capabilities and operation of console and machine.
