7. Fit the bagger bottom on the discharge deck.
2.2.4 To assemble the mulching-kit
1. Raise the discharge guard to mount / dismount the
mulch plug.
2. Replace the blade with the supplied Combi blade.

2.3 To do a test run
CAUTION: A too low oil level can do dam-
age to the engine. Do a check of the oil
level before you start the product.
2.3.1 To start the engine (LC247, LC 247S,
LC 247SP, LC 347V, LC 253S, LC 353V)
The models LC 247 and LC 247S have manual choke.
The rst time the product is started, press the fuel pump
5 times. When the engine is started cold after that, press
the fuel pump 3 times.
1. Make sure that the ignition cable is connected to the
spark plug.
2. Push the engine brake handle down.
3. Hold the starter handle and slowly pull out the cord
until you feel resistance.
4. Pull with force to start the engine.
5. Make sure that the blade starts to rotate.
2.3.2 To start the engine (LC 347VI, LC
353VI)
The models LC 348VI and LC 353VI have electric start.
1. Make sure that the ignition cable is connected to the
spark plug.
2. Make sure that the battery is activated and charged.
See chapter 4.9 Battery.
3. Attach the battery to the engine.
4. Push the start inhibitor to the side.
5. Pull the engine break handle against the handlebar
to start the starter motor. The starter motor stops
when the engine starts.
2.3.3 To stop the engine
Release the engine brake handle and make sure that the
engine stops.
