How to fix a Husqvarna LTH2038R Lawn Mower that will not start?
    • C
      Christopher McclainAug 19, 2025
If your Husqvarna Lawn Mower will not start, there are several possible reasons. First, check if the fuel tank is empty and fill it if needed. Second, make sure the engine is properly choked, referring to the “TO START ENGINE” section in the Operation section. If the engine is flooded, wait a few minutes before trying again. Other potential issues include a bad spark plug (replace it), a dirty air filter (clean or replace it), a dirty fuel filter (replace it), or water in the fuel (empty the tank and carburetor, refill with fresh gasoline, and replace the fuel filter). Also, check for loose or damaged wiring. If none of these solutions work, the engine valves may be out of adjustment, requiring you to contact an authorized service center.

Other potential causes include a dirty fuel filter (replace it) or stale fuel (empty the tank and refill with fresh, clean gas). Check for loose or damaged wiring. Casey JonesAug 23, 2025
If the engine of your Husqvarna Lawn Mower won't turn over, make sure the brake pedal is fully depressed. Also, check that the attachment clutch is disengaged. A weak or dead battery can also prevent the engine from turning over, so recharge or replace it. Check for a blown fuse and replace it if necessary. Clean any corrosion from the battery terminals. Inspect all wiring for looseness or damage. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the ignition switch, solenoid, or starter might be faulty and need to be checked or replaced. Contact an authorized service center if the operator presence switch(es) are faulty.

Replace the mower drive belt if it's worn. Ensure blades are installed with the sharp edge down. Replace blades if they are not the ones listed in the parts manual.
