1. Check the fuel pump’s air filter.
2. Sharpen/Replace mower blades if required.
3. Check spark plug wire.
4. Lubricate according to lubrication chart.
5. Check/clean the engine’s cooling air intake.
6. Clean the air cleaner’s pre-filter (foam).
