Operating the Cargo Bed
Tilt the cargo bed by lifting up on the latch lever to unlatch
the bed. Then, continue lifting, using the lever. until the cargo
bed is in the full raised position. Figure 3-24
There is a latch lever located on both sides of the cargo
bed. Only one will need to be used to unlatch the cargo bed.
When the cargo bed is loaded it may be necessary for two
people to tilt the cargo bed to the full raised position.
Make sure the cargo bed is latched and secured before
moving the vehicle. Never drive the vehicle with the cargo
bed in the tilted/raised position.

Spread load evenly and secure to prevent movement.
Do not load above height of cargo bed. Load could
shift forward injuring the driver or passenger.
Drive slowly. Avoid sudden starts or stops, load
could shift.
Driving with the cargo bed out of the transport posi-
tion can be hazardous. Always return the bed to the
transport position before driving.
Dump the cargo bed on level ground only.
