A worn motor coupling, indicated by a pebble-like sound from the pump, should also be replaced. Additionally, the air shut-off valve might be failing due to moisture or dirt in the air supply, so clean the valve and air lines. Lastly, a faulty valve in the remote control may be the culprit, requiring replacement.
