c. Use a multimeter to measure the ac voltage at both ac power cables.
Is the ac voltage from 200 V ac to 240 V ac or (for Models 870 or 890 processor units) 432 V ac to
508 V ac?
v No: Exchange the failing ac line cords.
This ends the procedure.
v Yes: Exchange AC module 1 and 2 when the correct ac voltage is present.
– Model 840/SB3 - USA (see Locations and addresses )
– Model 840/SB3 - World Trade 1PH (see Locations and addresses )
– FC 5074, FC 5079, FC 9074, FC 9079 (see Locations and addresses )
– FC 5094 or FC 9094 (see Type, model, and part number list for part number.)
This
ends the procedure.
5. Is the SRC 1xxx-01AC?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Perform the following
a. See Locations and addresses for the model you are working on to determine the location of
AC module A01.
b. Locate the ac line cord that connects to AC module A01.
Attention: Do not disconnect the other system line cord when powered on.
c. Go to step 7 (See page 183).
6. Is the SRC 1xxx-02AC?
v Yes: Perform the following:
a. See Locations and addresses for the model you are working on to determine the location of
AC module A03.
b. Locate the ac line cord that connects to AC module A03.
Attention: Do not disconnect the other system line cord when powered on.
c. Continue with the next step.
v
No: Go to step 9 (See page 184).
7. Perform the following:
a. Disconnect the ac line cord found in step 5 (See page 183) or 6 (See page 183) from the AC
module.
b. Use a multimeter to measure the ac voltage at the AC module end of the ac line cord.
Is the ac voltage from 200 V ac to 240 V ac?
v No: Continue with the next step.
v Yes: Exchange the failing AC module A01 for SRC 01AC, or AC module A03 for 02AC (see
Locations and addresses ).
This ends the procedure.
8. Perform the following:
a. Disconnect the ac line cord from the customer’s ac power outlet.
b. Use a multimeter to measure the ac voltage at the customer’s ac power outlet.
Is the ac voltage from 200 V ac to 240 V ac?
v Yes: Exchange the failing ac line cord.
This ends the procedure.
v No: Perform the following:
a. Inform the customer that the ac voltage at the power outlet is not correct.
b. Reconnect the ac line cords to the power outlet after the ac voltage at the power outlet is
correct.
This ends the procedure.
