Procedure
1. Go to the front of the system chassis.
2. Place your ngers on the indentations (B) located on both sides of the cover, as shown in Figure 7 on
page 9.

3. Pull the cover (A) away from the system, as shown in Figure 7 on page 9.
Removing the system fans

Use tape, a marker, or a pencil to mark the location of each component that you remove. The marks are
helpful as a reference when you replace each component.

To remove the system fans, complete the following steps:

1. Put your thumb against the latch (A), and put your index nger against the latch (B), as shown in Figure
8 on page 10.
