Beep
tones
ON/OFF

pushed,

operation

such

programming

etc.,
and
to
indicate
invalid
commands.
These
can
be
turned
ON
or
OFF
as
you
prefer.

set
mode.

preferences

style.

Opening
text
This
item
turns
the
opening
text
ON
or
OFF.
Opening
text
is
the
message
that
is
displayed
briefly
when
turning
power
ON.
The
opening
text
message
is
stored
in
transmit
message
memory
TO
and
can
be
changed
if
desired
(p.
29).
The
de-
fault
for
the
opening
text
is
“ICOM.”
