This
instruction

use

non-Icom
battery
packs/chargers
may
impair
transceiver
performance

invalidate
the

Thank
you
for
purchasing
the
IC-W2A/E
DUAL
BAND
FM
TRANSCEIVER.
A
state-of-the-art
transceiver,
the
IC-W2A/E
has
the
following
features:
*
Simultaneous
receiving
and
displaying
of
the
144
MHz
and
430
(440)
MHz
bands.
*
Unbelievably
small
just
fits
in
the
palm
of
your
hand.
*Volume
and
squelch
controls
for
separate
VHF
and
UHF
control.
CAUTIONS
NEVER
connect
the
transceiver
to
an
AC
outlet
or
to
a
pow-
er
source
of
more
than
16
VDC.
These
connections
will
ruin
the
transceiver.
NEVER
connect
the
transceiver
to
a
power
source
using
reverse
polarity.
This
connection
will
damage
the
transceiver.
NEVER
allow
children
to
touch
the
transceiver.
AVOID
using
or
placing
the
transceiver
in
areas
with
tem-
peratures
below
10°C
(+
14°F)
or
above
+60°C
(+
140°F).
AVOID
placing
the
transceiver
in
direct
sunlight.
OPERATING
NOTES
BE
CAREFUL!
When
transmitting
for
a
long
time
with
high
output
power,
the
rear
panel
may
become
hot.
When
using
the
transceiver
with
a
small-capacity
battery
pack
such
as
BP-81
or
BP-82,
we
recommend
operating
with
low
output
power.
Battery
power
will
be
discharged
quickly
if
the
transceiver
is
operated
continuously
using
high
output
power.
