Change the Return Filter
Ш CAUTION I
Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not
allow hot oil or components to contact the skin.
At operating temperature, the hydraulic tank is hot and can
be under pressure.
To relieve the pressure from the hydraulic tank, loosen the oil
fill plug Ф on the hydraulic tank.
Remove the return filter © only after the engine has been
stopped and the return filter is cool enough to touch with your
bare hand.
1. Lower the bucket on the ground and stop the engine.
2. Relieve the internal pressure from the hydraulic tank by loosening
oil fill plug Ф.
3. Clean the area to keep dirt out of the filter base ©.
4. Remove the used filter © by filter wrench. Clean the filter base ®.

NOTE: This is a cartridge type element. It cannot be reused.
5. Coat the gasket © of new finer with clean hydraulic oil.
6 . Install the new filter © by hand. When the seal contacts the base,
tighten an additional 3/4 turn by filter wrench.
7. Start and run the engine to fill the filter. Stop the engine. Maintain
the oil level between marks on the level gauge. Add oil if
necessary.
8 . Pressurize the hydraulic tank. After fully extending all the
cylinders and loosen oil fill plug Ф to supply air to the hydraulic
tank, tighten the plug again.
9. Start and operate the engine. Inspect for leaks on the oil filter ©.
☆ When operation breaker works, replace the return filter every 100
hours operation.
☆ Replace this filter in 50 hours for the initial time only.
