REPAIRS/MAINTENANCE
In the event of a fault, malfunction, or a damaged power cord, Do not attempt to repair the appli-
ance, but contact qualified personnel. Never attempt to operate defective or damaged machines.
Only authorised service centres may carry out interventions and repairs. The manufacturer de-
clines all responsibility for damage to property and/or persons that may occur as a result of ad-
aptations, modifications or repairs, whether improvised or not carried out by qualified personnel.
CLEANING
A good maintenance of the coee machine ensures a better performance over time and its pro-
longed life. Disconnect the switches and detach the plug from the power socket before cleaning.
Never submerge the unit in water, clean it only with a damp cloth, non-abrasive detergents and
dry it immediately.
The components (grid, drip tray, capsule container and tank) can be washed by hand with
non-abrasive detergents or in a dishwasher at medium temperature.
DECALCIFICATION
The formation of lime scale is the natural consequence when using the machine. Decalcify the
appliance every 5-6 months; if the water is very hard, decalcify more frequently. For decalcifica-
tion, use a non-toxic or harmful decalcifying agent for coee machines, commonly available on
the market.
• Fill the tank with the decalcifying solution, following the instructions on the decalcifying package
(note: an empty capsule must be inserted for the Smart 10_I model.).
• After a second rinse cycle, fill the tank again. The machine is now ready for use.
OPTIONAL WATER SOFTENER FILTER
We recommend the use of the Brita AquaGusto® 100 filter (Italy
code I0002896).
The use of a water softener filter is strongly recommended for
the correct functioning of the machine and the quality of the
product in the cup
