SECTION IX: TROUBLESHOOTING
While Bonart offers repair service, the following trouble shooting procedures can help you save
time.
Troubleshooting Guide
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
The device does not turn
on when the switch is in
the “ON” position.
T
he power cord is not
plugged in.
The unit may be defective.
Check your connection to the outlet and
the unit.
The device is turned on,
but does not vibrate
when you press the foot
switch.
Tip is worn-
out or is not
secured properly.
Check that the tip is not worn-out and
ensure that it has been properly secured
to the hand piece with the included tip
wrench.
Replace the tip if old or damaged.
The
foot switch may be
broken or defective.
Reposition the foot switch and cable. If
functionality is intermittent, a short in
the wire may be present.
Replace the foot switch if necessary.
The device is turned on,
but does not produce
water when you press the
foot switch.
The water supply is not
connected to the unit
properly.
Check your water supply for sufficient
flow, and ensure that the water tube is
properly secured to the back of the unit.
The filter may be clogged. Clean or replace the filter
Insufficient
vibration/oscillation.
The tip may be old, worn-
out, or not properly
inserted.
Check the tip for wear and tear, and
ensure that it is
properly inserted by
using the included tip wrench.
Replace the tip if it is old or damaged.
The power setting is too
low.
Turn the power dial to a higher setting.
Insufficient water
pressure.
The filter may be clogged.
Replace the filter screen or the filter
itself.
The pressure from the water
supply source may be too
low.
Check that pressure of the water supply
source is between 25 and 60 PSI.
