Chemical additives, scented liquids, or descaling agents can damage the product, so avoid adding these to the water reservoir. Also, avoid using pure distilled or softened water; instead, mix tap water (50%) with distilled and/or demineralized water (50%). If you're using starch, always spray it on the reverse side of the fabric. Finally, if the plate temperature is too low due to frequent use of the super-steam button (4), allow slightly longer intervals between steam bursts.
