EOLO STAR
EOLO Star operation sequence
Heating phase Hot water phase
STARTING STARTING
Main switch in WINTER position Main switch in SUMMER or WINTER position
⇓ ⇓
POWER TO ADJUSTMENT CIRCUIT POWER TO ADJUSTMENT CIRCUIT
The closing of main switch contact (WINTER position)
powers the adjustment circuit and enables operation in
heating phase
The closing of main switch contact (SUMMER position)
powers the modulation board and enables operation in hot
water phase
⇓ ⇓
CLOSING OF ROOM THERMOSTAT SWITCH
HOT WATER OPERATION REQUEST
Ambient thermostat request Domestic hot water demand
⇓ ⇓
POWERING PUMP PUMP SWITCHOFF
With the consensus of the absolute water pressure switch,
the modulation board powers the circulator (MP)
The circulator (MP) is not operated or is turned off if a
heating request is under way
⇓ ⇓
POWERING THE IGNITION CIRCUIT POWERING THE IGNITION CIRCUIT
If the temperature of the heating water is below that set, the
adjustment circuit of the board powers the ignition circuit
If the hot water temperature is below that set, the
adjustment circuit of the board powers the ignition circuit
⇓ ⇓
FLUE PRESSURE SWITCH CONTACT CONTROL
The board checks the correct position of the flue pressure switch (contact open)
⇓
FAN POWER
The modulation board powers the fan
⇓
FLUE PRESSURE SWITCH CONTACT CONTROL
The modulation board determines the closing of the flue pressure switch contact following fan
operation
⇓
IGNITION ELECTRODE POWER
The ignition circuit of the board powers the ignition electrode
⇓
GAS VALVE COIL POWER
With the consensus of the overheating thermostat (TS), the ignition circuit powers the main
coils of the gas valve.
⇓
BURNER IGNITION (SLOW)
The board sends the slow ignition signal to the modulation coil.
⇓
FLAME DETECTION
By means of the detection electrode, the ignition circuit detects the presence of a flame on
the burner and ends the ignition cycle
⇓
BOILER WORKING
The boiler operates at a power that varies according to the type of request, the
adjustments/settings made and the temperature read by NTC sensors
