If your Insignia Electric Heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, first ensure it's properly plugged into a working electrical outlet. If the set temperature is lower than the current room temperature, increase the set temperature. If the room temperature has reached the set temperature, this is normal; the heater will restart when the room temperature drops. You can adjust the temperature control dial to your desired setting. Also, check for obstructions if a safety protection device was activated. If you find one, turn off and unplug the heater, wait 10 minutes, remove the obstruction, then plug it back in and restart it.
