Setting Item Default Value Setting Details
Height 2 Left 0.0dB Select a value between "-12.0dB" to "+12.0dB" (in
0.5dB increments). A test tone will be output each
time you change the value. Select the desired
level.

This setting cannot be changed in any of the
following cases.
"Speaker Settings" - "Height 2 Speakers
Type" is set to "Not Use".
"Speaker Settings" - "Front Speakers Type"
is set to "Bi-Amp".

In the following cases, the settings for "Level Calibration" cannot be changed:
The speaker is set to "No" or "None" in "Speaker Configuration".
Mute (MUTING) is set.

The test tone is output at the standard level for THX, which is 0dB (absolute volume setting 82). If you
normally listen at volume settings below this, be careful because the test tone will be much louder.

If you are using a handheld sound level meter, adjust the level of each speaker so that it reads 75 dB
SPL at the listening position, measured in C-Weighting and slow reading.

Distance": Select a value from "<0.3m",
"0.3m-1.2m", and ">1.2m".

This setting cannot be changed in any of the
following cases.
"Speaker Configuration" - "Back" is set to
"None".
"Speaker Configuration" - "Back ch" is set
to "1ch".
THX Ultra2/

No Set whether a THX-certified subwoofer is
connected or not.
"Yes": When a THX-certified subwoofer is
connected
"No": When a THX-certified subwoofer is not
connected

The setting cannot be changed if "Speaker
Configuration" - "Subwoofer" is set to "No".
BGC
(Boundary Gain
Compensation)
Off If your listening room layout (for practical or
aesthetic reasons) locates most of the listeners
close to the rear wall, the resulting bass level
can be sufficiently reinforced by the boundary
that the overall sound becomes "boomy". THX
Ultra2 Plus receivers contain a Boundary Gain
Compensation (BGC) feature to improve bass
balance.
"On": Use this function
"Off": Do not use this function

This setting cannot be changed in any of the
following cases.
"Speaker Configuration" - "Subwoofer" is
set to "No".
"THX Ultra2/Select2 Subwoofer" is set to
"No".
