Reader combines a high resolution camera with text-to-speech (TTS)
software, to convert printed text to digital text, and then read it aloud to you. The
Reader can convert a variety of materials, including books, magazines, and even
daily mail. The Reader is small enough to take with you, and discreet enough to
use anywhere, anytime.
This Quick Start Guide introduces you to the Reader, and helps you quickly learn
to capture and play text. For detailed information about these tasks, refer to
the Reader User Manual, which you can nd on the CD that accompanies the
Reader, or in the Reader's Help menu. The User Manual also contains useful
information about customizing your Reader, transferring text and audio les to
and from the Reader, organizing your Reader les, and using all of the Reader's
features.
