  If your Intellihot Water Heater experiences ignition failure, the water over-heat switch may have tripped, or there may be a faulty DSI, igniter wire, ignition connection, PCB, or a bad igniter. Also, low gas pressure could be the cause. You should check the pump and cross over solenoid, and inspect for electrical noise (DSI). Replace any faulty parts. Adjust gas pressure at the regulator, check/upsize the gas line, and check for gas line blockage.

  A flashing Cascade Icon on your Intellihot Water Heater indicates a loss of communication between units. Check for broken or nicked communication cables or loose connectors. Make sure the communication cable is not bundled or tied to any high voltage lines. Ensure the dip switch (SW3) is ON in the first and last units and OFF in all other units. Also, ensure each unit numbering is unique under the dC mode.

  Your Intellihot Water Heater may show 'Flue Temperature Exceeded Set Limit' due to an incorrect vent setup, high inlet temperature, faulty sensor wiring, a faulty sensor, or a faulty controller. If the vent pipe material is CPVC or Polypropylene, ensure that CPVC is selected in the FP (Flue Pipe) mode. Ensure the inlet temperature is lower than 150°F if the vent pipe material is PVC or lower than 190°F if the vent pipe material is CPVC or Polypropylene. Check for nicked or broken sensor wiring & connectors, and also check for corroded or wet connectors. Measure the resistance of the sensor at the connector (18 Kohm at 50°F, 10 Kohm at 77°F, 3 Kohm at 140°F). Replace the controller if necessary.
