Summary

Mounting the Unit

Tamper Switch

The rear tamper switch must be sealed for system operation. It is secured by mounting the RAS onto the mounting plate.

RAS DIP Switch Settings

DIP switches on the rear of the RAS set the address and bus termination condition for the unit.

Connections

Power Supply

RAS can be powered by bus +/-, or AUX PWR from DGP/auxiliary supply if distance exceeds 100m.

Data Bus (RS485)

Connect RAS to ATS panel via RS485 data bus (up to 1.5 km). Use shielded, twisted-pair data cable.

Request to Exit (RTE) and Output

RTE button connects across 'IN'/'0V' for exit function. OUT is open collector output.

Status and Area LED Indications

Status LED Indicators

Describes Green (Power), Yellow (Fault), Blue (Access), and Red (Alarm) LEDs on the RAS unit.

Area LED Indicators

Details the 16 red LEDs indicating area status: armed, fault, or alarm.

Operating Features

Keyboard Backlight and Night Light
