5. Use the two screws supplied with the SCBA telemetry unit to screw it together with
the backplate using a T25 Torx screw driver.
8.2 BATTERY INSTALLATION / REPLACEMENT
To reduce the risk of ignition of a ammable atmosphere, batteries must only be
changed in an area known to be non-hazardous.
ATTENTION! CHANGEZ DE PILES QUE DANS UNE ZONE NON-HAZARDEUSE.
Immediate replacement of the battery is necessary when the telemetry unit low battery
alarm symbol ashes on the DDU. The Low Battery Alarm will ash when the batteries
reach a level of approximately 2 hours of operating time remaining. INTERSPIRO, Inc.
assumes no liability for mechanical, electrical or other types of battery failure.
Do not mix battery manufacturers or old with new batteries.
Always use the specied Duracell MN2400 or Energizer E92 AAA alkaline batteries.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the screws holding the battery cover. Remove
the battery covers and replace batteries according orientation marked in the battery
compartment. Check O-ring and replace battery cover and tighten the screws
moderately.
8.3 PREPARATION FOR USE
The S9 HUD is programmed with an individual reghter’s “NAME” using the
InMode Download Kit.
The S9 BAC can be programmed with an individual reghter’s “TEAM NAME” using
the InMode Download Kit.
IMPORTANT! Programming the HUD and/or BAC can only be done by Interspiro
or a person that has received training by Interspiro using the InMode program. The
programming is only done once, prior to putting the SCBA into service.
After an individual reghter’s HUD is linked to the S9 SCBA BAC (see section
2.7) and the S9 SCBA is used together with the optional SpiroLink SCBA Telemetry
Unit, the S9 SpiroLink Telemetry system enables automatic registering on the outside
incident Command Entry Control Unit the re ghter’s “NAME” and “TEAM NAME”
when the S9 SCBA is pressurized.
