The SpiroLink SCBA telemetry unit is automatically activated when the SCBA is
pressurised. The registered re ghter name and team association is displayed during
start-up.
When the unit enters PASS Sensing mode an antenna symbol starts to ash in the
display, indicating that the SCBA is searching for the incident Command Entry Control
Unit.
When the SCBA has registered to the incident Command Entry Control Unit the
antenna symbol is constantly lit.
Should the link to the Entry Control Unit be lost a warning sound is activated and the
display alternates between normal display and “LOST LINK” indication. The antenna
symbol is ashing.
When the link is established again the unit returns to normal display automatically.
The antenna symbol is constantly lit.
With the link established, the cylinder pressure, remaining time and absorbed
temperature are continuously sent from the SCBA to the Entry Control unit.
Alarms for low air, man down and panic alarm (manual activation of alarm) are
automatically sent to the Entry Control unit.
If the alarms are sent when there is no link to the Entry Control Unit it will be pending
in the system and transmitted when the link is established again.
If the alarms for man down (lack of motion) and panic alarm are conrmed on the
Entry Control Unit the text “CONFIRMED” will appear on the SCBA display after
some moments.
Press the black backlight button to put the unit back to normal display.
When an evacuation signal sent from the outside incident Command Entry Control
unit is activated on the SCBA, an alarm sound is started and the display starts to ash
showing “EVAC!!!” on the display. The backlight is turned on in red.
