How to improve cleaning performance of Intex Swimming Pool filter?
    • K
      Kristin Hernandez DVMAug 20, 2025
If your Intex Swimming Pool filter isn't cleaning the pool, adjust the chlorine and pH levels. If there is no filtering media in the tank, load it with filter sand. Ensure the 6-way valve is set to the 'FILTER' position. For an excessively dirty pool, operate the filter for longer periods, and clean the strainer screen at the inlet if it's restricting the water flow.

    • T
      Terry ColemanAug 22, 2025
To resolve leaks from the inlet threaded air connector or air jet valve on your Intex Swimming Pool, tighten or reinstall the plunger valve. Ensure the air jet valve is tight and facing up. If the internal seal is blocked or dirty, turn the pump ON and OFF for a few seconds, repeating three times, or remove the air jet valve, flush out dirt with water, and replace it. If the air jet valve is broken, replace it.

What to do if my Intex 126384GS filter motor fails to start?

      Dr. Alice StanleyAug 25, 2025
If the filter motor of your Intex Swimming Pool fails to start, first ensure the line cord is plugged into a 3-wire outlet protected by a Class A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, or RCD. If that doesn't work, reset the GFCI/RCD circuit breaker. If it trips repeatedly, your electrical system may have a defect, so turn off the breaker and call an electrician. Finally, the motor may be too hot; let it cool down before restarting.

If your Intex Swimming Pool filter isn’t cleaning the pool effectively, adjust the chlorine and pH levels, consulting your local swimming pool supply stores for guidance. Ensure the tank is loaded with filter sand, following the sand loading instructions. Verify that the 6-way valve is set to the “FILTER” position. If the pool is excessively dirty, operate the filter for longer periods. Also, clean the strainer screen at the inlet to remove any restrictions to the water flow.

If the pump of your Intex Swimming Pool doesn’t work, ensure the water level is correct. Clean the strainer screens at the pool inlet. Check for air leaks on the intake hose by tightening the hose nuts and inspecting the hose for damage. If none of these actions work, contact an Intex service center, as the motor may be faulty or the impeller jammed.

Why is sand flowing back into my Intex 126384GS?
    • A
      Ashley ParkerSep 4, 2025
If sand is flowing back into your Intex Swimming Pool, it may be because the sand is too small. Use only No. 20 silica sand with a particle size range of 0.45 to 0.85 mm (0.018 to 0.033 inches) and a Uniformity Coefficient less than 1.75. Alternatively, the sand bed may be calcified, in which case you should change the sand.
