5.8 EC (Refrigerant Leakage Detection diagnosis and solution)
Description: Define the evaporator coil temp.T2 of the compressor just starts running as Tcool.
In the beginning 8 minutes after the compressor starts up, if T2<Tcool-1°C does not keep continuous 4 seconds and
compressor running frequency higher than 50Hz does not keep continuous 3 minutes, and this situation happens 3
times, the display area will show “EC” and AC will turn off.
Recommended parts to prepare:
Faulty T2 sensor
Faulty indoor PCB
System problems, such as leakage or blockages
Troubleshooting and repair:
Power off, then restart the unit 2 minutes later.
Are any leakages

Check System for blockages
and
clear
blockages if present.
Does a problem remain?
Put your hands in front of the
indoor air outlet.

Is there cool
air blowing out from
indoor air outlet?
Is
it
securely
attached?
Replace the
indoor PCB

Check the T2 sensor.

Check system for leakages.

Repair the leakage and
recharge the refrigerant.
