What to do if the red LED is on in my IOXUS Control Unit?
    • M
      Marcus MunozAug 9, 2025
A red LED on your IOXUS Control Unit indicates a fault. This could be due to several reasons: * **Over Temperature Protection:** Remove the unit from the high-temperature environment and allow it to cool below 60°C (149°F). Consider installing a reflective heat shield if this occurs repeatedly. * **Over Power or Over Current Protection:** This fault should clear within 30 seconds. Check for loose electrical connections and battery condition. If the issue persists, contact Ioxus Customer Service. * **Internal Fault Protection:** Check for loose electrical connections and battery condition. Reset power by disconnecting the negative lead for 30 seconds and reconnecting it. Start the vehicle and observe the unit for one minute. If the fault persists, contact Ioxus Customer Service.

How to troubleshoot no LEDs on IOXUS Control Unit?
    • J
      James WilsonAug 30, 2025
If no LEDs are illuminated on your IOXUS Control Unit, it could indicate the following: * **Standby Mode:** This is normal. The unit will automatically enter Run Mode when the vehicle is started or a high load is applied. * **Unit Problem:** Check for loose electrical connections and battery condition. Verify the battery voltage with the vehicle off is above 12V, and confirm the unit terminals also have above 12V. Disconnect the unit's negative lead for 30 seconds and then reconnect it. If the Yellow LED does not light, contact Ioxus Customer Service.

Why is the red LED on my IOXUS Control Unit illuminated?
    • A
      angelasmithNov 18, 2025
The red LED on your IOXUS Control Unit signals a fault condition. This can be triggered by: * **Over Temperature Protection:** The unit may be overheating. An environmental condition above 65°C (149°F) will cause the unit to enter Fault Mode. Remove the unit from the high-temperature environment and allow it to cool below 60°C (149°F). * **Over Power or Over Current Protection:** High current or high current draws for extended periods (beyond normal engine cranking times) will cause the unit to enter fault mode. Check for loose electrical connections and battery condition. * **Internal Fault Protection:** The unit has detected an abnormal internal condition. Check for loose electrical connections and battery condition. Reset power by removing the Negative lead from the unit for 30 s...
