Overview

This document is an instruction manual for the IsEasy Induction Hob, Model LI4-30. It covers installation, usage, safety, technical specifications, and maintenance.

Function Description:

The IsEasy Induction Hob is a vitro-ceramic cooking appliance designed for domestic use. It utilizes induction technology for cooking, which heats pots and pans directly through electromagnetic fields, rather than heating the hob surface itself. This method offers efficient and precise cooking. The hob features multiple cooking zones, each with adjustable power levels, and includes a "Booster" function for rapid heating. It also incorporates safety features such as a residual heat indicator, child lock, and automatic shut-off.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model Name: LI4-30
  • Product Size: 770x520 mm
  • Built-in Size: 740x490 mm
  • Voltage: 220V-240V, 50/60 Hz
  • Total Power: 6800W
  • Cooking Zone Power (Individual):
    • Top Left: 1200W (Booster: 1500W)
    • Down Left: 1800W (Booster: 2000W)
    • Middle: 2400W (Booster: 2600W)
    • Down Right: 1200W (Booster: 1500W)
  • Booster Function Limitation: Only one zone can use the "Boost" function at the same time per left or right side.
  • Certification: FC (presumably FCC, indicating compliance with electromagnetic interference standards).

Usage Features:

  • Induction System Compatibility: Only pots and pans bearing the "INDUCTION SYSTEM" symbol or enameled pots are suitable. A magnet can be used to check suitability; if not magnetically detectable, the pot is unsuitable.
  • Pot Requirements: Pots must have a smooth bottom to avoid scratching the hob surface. The bottom diameter of pots or pans should be at least 10cm.
  • Power On/Off: The hob is switched on and off using a dedicated button. If no heating zone is selected within 120 seconds of switching on, the hob automatically switches off.
  • Adjusting Cooking Zones: After switching on and positioning a pan, a specific button is used to select the desired cooking zone. Power levels range from "1" (min) to "9" (max).
  • Deactivation of Cooking Zones: To switch off a cooking zone, select it and press the corresponding button to set the level to "0". A residual heat indicator "H" will light up.
  • Child Lock: This function prevents accidental activation. It is activated by holding a specific button for three seconds, displaying "Lo". Repeating the procedure deactivates it.
  • Timer Function: The timer can be set for up to 99 minutes (1 hour and 39 minutes) for all cooking zones. Once the set time elapses, an acoustic signal sounds, and the hob switches off automatically. The timer can be deactivated by setting it to "00" or holding the clock symbol button for at least 4 seconds.
  • Booster Function: Pressing the "P" button activates the Booster, which provides maximum power for five minutes. Pressing it again returns the cooktop to its previous setting.
  • Auto Switch Off: The hob automatically switches off if no cooking time is set, if the user forgets to switch it off, or if it is not operated for two hours.
  • Residual Heat Indicator ("H"): After use, the display shows "H" to indicate that the cooking zone is still hot. This zone can be used to keep food warm or melt butter.
  • Error Code "E0": This indicates an "incorrect or missing pot" if the pot is unsuitable, incorrectly positioned, or not of the correct dimensions. If no pot is detected within 180 seconds, the hob switches off.
  • Temperature Level Table: Provides guidance on appropriate power levels (1-9) for various cooking tasks, from melting/defrosting to frying/boiling, indicating cooking experience and habits.
  • Noise during Operation: Induction hobs may produce whistling or crackling sounds due to pot characteristics (e.g., multi-layered or uneven bottoms). These are normal and not indicative of a defect. An internal cooling fan will also be audible during operation and for several minutes after the hob is switched off, which is normal for proper functioning.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning:
    • Do not use steam cleaners.
    • Ensure cooking zones are switched off and the residual heat indicator ("H") is not displayed before cleaning.
    • Avoid abrasive sponges or scouring pads, as they can damage the glass.
    • Clean the hob after each use (when cool) to remove deposits and stains.
    • Immediately remove sugar or high-sugar content foods to prevent damage.
    • Avoid salt, sugar, and sand, as they can scratch the glass surface.
    • Use a soft cloth, absorbent kitchen paper, or a specific hob cleaner according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: Provides solutions for common issues and error codes (E0, E2, E3, E4, E5-E8, C/C-C-C-C). For most error codes, contacting after-sales service is recommended.
  • After-Sales Service: Before contacting, users should attempt to troubleshoot using the guide and restart the appliance. If the problem persists, provide a brief description of the fault, product type/model, full address, and telephone number. Repairs should be carried out by an authorized After-Sales Service Centre using original spare parts.
  • Energy Saving Tips:
    • Use pots and pans with bottom width equal to the cooking zone.
    • Use flat-bottomed pots and pans.
    • Keep pot lids on during cooking when possible.
    • Use a pressure cooker to save energy and time.
    • Place the pot in the middle of the marked cooking zone.
