This document is a user instruction manual for a 5-zone induction hob, model LI5-01, manufactured by IsEasy.
The LI5-01 is a 5-zone induction hob designed for domestic cooking. It operates by electromagnetic induction, heating only the cookware placed on its surface, rather than the surface itself. Each cooking zone is independently controlled and offers various power levels, a timer function, and a booster function for rapid heating. The hob also includes safety features such as a residual heat indicator, automatic shut-off, and a child lock.
Cookware Compatibility: The hob requires pots and pans bearing the "INDUCTION SYSTEM" symbol or enameled pots. Cookware must be magnetically detectable and have a smooth bottom to avoid scratching the hob. The minimum bottom diameter for pots or pans should be at least 10cm. Unsuitable cookware, or cookware that is not correctly positioned or sized, will trigger an "E0" error code, and the hob will switch off if no pot is detected within 180 seconds.
Power Control: The hob features 5 cooking zones, each with adjustable power levels from 1 (minimum) to 9 (maximum). A "Booster" function is available for rapid heating, though only one zone can use the boost function at the same time per left or right side. A "P" button allows the cooktop to operate at Max Power for five minutes, after which pressing it again returns to the last setting.
Timer Function: A timer can be set for each cooking zone, with a maximum duration of 99 minutes (1 hour and 39 minutes). Once the set time elapses, an acoustic signal sounds, and the hob switches off automatically.
Child Lock: This function prevents accidental activation of the hob. It is activated by holding the child lock button for three seconds, displaying "Lo". Repeating the procedure deactivates the lock.
Automatic Shut-off: The hob automatically switches off if no heating zone is selected within 120 seconds of switching on. It also has a default automatic shut-off time based on the power level: 8 hours for levels 1-3, 4 hours for levels 4-6, and 2 hours for levels 7-9.
Temperature Level Table: The manual provides a detailed table outlining recommended power levels for various cooking tasks, from melting and warming (levels 1-2) to frying and fast boiling (level 9). This helps users optimize cooking performance based on their habits.
Cleaning: The hob should be cleaned after each use, once it has cooled down and the residual heat indicator ("H") is no longer displayed. A soft cloth, absorbent kitchen paper, or a specific hob cleaner is recommended. Abrasive sponges, scouring pads, steam cleaners, salt, sugar, and sand should be avoided as they can damage the glass surface. Foods with high sugar content should be removed immediately.
Troubleshooting Guide: The manual includes a troubleshooting guide for common issues. It advises users to check basic conditions like electricity supply and dryness of the hob. It also lists alphanumeric error codes (E0, E2, E3, E4, E5-E8, C/C-C-C-C) with their possible causes and remedies, often directing users to contact after-sales service for complex issues.
Noises: The manual explains that whistling or crackling sounds during operation are normal and originate from the pots and pans due to their characteristics. It also notes that the internal cooling fan noise is normal and essential for proper functioning, audible during operation and for several minutes after the hob is switched off.
After-Sales Service: Before contacting after-sales service, users are advised to consult the troubleshooting guide and try switching the appliance off and on again. If the problem persists, users should provide a brief description of the fault, product type and model, full address, and telephone number. Repairs should be carried out by an authorized After-Sales Service Centre using original spare parts.
