1. InserttheblackandredtestleadsintotheCOM and VΩ Hz input terminals respectively.
2. SelectthedesiredDCvoltagerange,orsetautomaticrange.
3. Whenthemagnitudeofthevol t agetobemeasuredisunknown,always start with the highest range.
4. Connect the test lead tips in parallel with the circuit to be measured. Be careful not to touch any
energisedconductors.Notethereading.
5. ForDCvoltagereadings,ther edleadtipshouldbeconnectedtothepositivesideofthecircuit,the
blackleadtothenegativeside.Aminussignontheleft-handsideoftheLCDwillappearifthe leads are
connectedtheorderwayround.
6. Whenallmeasurementsarecompleted,disconnectthetestleadsfromthecircuitundertest.Remove
testleadsfromthemultimeter.
