these safety information before using your multimeter.Follow all safety practices and properoperating
proceduresforequipmentbeingtested.
1. Exercise extreme caution when: Measuring voltageabove20volts,measuringcurrentgreaterthat10
mA,measuringACpower line with inductive loads, measuringACpowerlineduringelectricalstorms.
2. Alwaysinspectyourmultimeter,testleadsandaccessoriesforsignofdamageorabnormalitybefore
everyuse.Ifanyabnormalconditions exist (i.e., brokenordamagedtestleads,crackedcase,displaynot
reading,etc.),donotattempttotakemeasurements.
3. Never ground yourself when taking electrical measurements. Do not touch exposed metal pipes,
outlets,fixtures,etc.,whichmight beatgroundpotential.Keepyourbodyisolatedfromgroundbyusing
dryclothing,rubbershoes,rubbermats,oranyapprovedinsulatingmaterial.
4. Never touch exposed wiring, connections, test probe tips, or any live circuit conductors when
attemptingtomakemeasurements.
5. Never replace the protective fuse inside the mu ltimeter with a fuse other than the specified or
approvedequalfuse. Replaceonlywithsame type of fuses. To avoidelectricalshock, disconnectthetest
