How do I connect my Jabra Engage to my Alcatel IP Touch
4029 or 4039 desk phone so I have remote call control using
my headset?
Prerequisite
Jabra Link 14201-36 Electronic Hook Switch (EHS) cable
To connect your headset:
1. For the 2-sided cable end:
a. Plug the (wide) RJ45 connector (red band) into the red socket
marked AUX on the Jabra base.
b. Plug the (small) RJ10 connector (blue band) into the socket
marked with the blue phone icon on the Jabra base.
2. For the 2-fold Y coupling end:
a. Plug the 3.5mm phone connector into the headset interface.
b. Plug the RJ12 phone connector plug into the socket marked with a
bell on the phone.
c. Plug the phone cable for the phone directly into the additional
connection socket of the Y-cable.
To configure your headset when connecting to a desk phone for the first
time:
For Jabra Engage 75, follow the onscreen setup wizard on the base.
For Jabra Engage 65, the initial setup is complete after connecting
the cables.
