User safety
The system, if installed by qualified personnel, does not pres-
ent any hazard for the user. Safety is however also contingent
upon proper use, as set forth by the users manual included with
the product. The user must contact qualified personnel for spe-
cial operations described in the manual.
It is important to make sure that personnel tasked to install
and manage the system are qualified as per legal requirements
in effect in the country where installation is carried out.
This appliance uses and generates radio waves: if it is not in-
stalled and used as directed, it may cause interference with the
reception of radio and television programs.
However, in special cases this may happen even if the directions
provided are followed.
Set up for installation
n
Check whether lifting equipment (cranes, etc.) is re-
quired for handling and installing the hot tub.
n
For outdoor installations, please take into account
the atmospheric conditions at the installation site
(risk of frost, etc.).
m
The site where the spa will be installed must be de-
signed to ensure the possible removal and relocation
of the spa itself, if necessary.
m
Position the spa away from glass and/or reflective sur-
faces in order to avoid possible damage to its panelling.
n
The spa was not designed for installations in places
above 2000 m.
The customer must make provisions for a ground drainage
point (0 7) of suitable dimensions and that can be inspected
for any cleaning that may be required.
m
ATTENTION: Before preparing the drainage system
for connecting the spa, consult the local authori-
ties about regulations for the disposal of chemical-
ly-treated water.
Jacuzzi® spas are equipped with the drain arranged as in 0
1-6, part.A and 0 7.
According to the type of installation chosen the ground drain-
age point will then be put into position.
The Jacuzzi® spas can be installed in a variety of ways:
- Free standing on the floor or on a specifically prepared base
(0 8).
- Semi-built in, so that only the base of the spa is built-in and
therefore the side cover panels remain free (0 10). In this case,
it is appropriate to prepare some removable under-frames (in
marine plywood, etc.) that, besides aesthetically completing in-
stallation, allow the panels to be removed more easily.
In any case you will need to provide a support base that is suit-
able for the selected model, taking into consideration the data
contained in the table “Weights.
Note: to reduce heat loss, use an insulating material between the
bottom of the hot tub and the area it is resting on. This material
must be suitable for use in environments that may contain signif-
icant concentrations of chlorides and acidic substances such as
swimming pools and hot tubs.
m
In the case of intermediate flooring, terraces, roofs
or other similar structures, consult a building engi-
neer.
