Machine veers to one side when travelling
(continued).
Adjusting the Manual Lever Stops
On manual machines, when the control lever is moved fully
forward, stop bolt A contacts block C, limiting the amount of
lever movement (illustration shows right hand lever).
If the machine does not travel in a straight line with both
levers pushed fully forward, the control lever stops may be
adjusted.
Note: It will be necessary to remove the appropriate lever
cover to gain access to the lever stop. Stop the engine and
remove the starter key whilst the adjustment is made.
If the machine is veering to the right, slacken locknut B on the
left hand control lever and screw in (clockwise) stop bolt A
one flat at a time. Re-tighten the locknut. Start the engine and
check if the machine now travels in a straight line. If not
repeat the adjustment.
If the machine veers to the left, carry out the adjustment
procedure on the right hand control lever stop.
When adjustment is complete, refit the lever covers.
