A lock with removable key is installed to prevent the
unauthorised access to the engine compartment.
Close
1. Close the engine cover.
2. Use the ignition key to lock the engine cover.
Refer to Figure 7.
(For: 3.5TST, 3TFT, 3TST)
WARNING The engine has exposed rotating
parts. Switch off the engine before working in the
engine compartment. Do not use the machine
with the engine cover open.
Open
1. Make the machine safe.
2. Stop the engine and remove the ignition key.
3. Apply the park brake.
4. Use the ignition key to unlock the engine cover.
Refer to Figure 8.
5. Lift the engine cover.

Close
1. Close the engine cover.
2. Use the ignition key to lock the engine cover.

Remove and Install
For: 2TFT, 2THS, 2TST ............. Page 06-11

(For: 2TFT, 2THS, 2TST)
Remove
1. Make the machine safe. Refer to (PIL 01-03).
2. Isolate the battery. Refer to (PIL 33-03).
3. Open the engine compartment cover as follows:
3.1. Use the ignition key to unlock the engine
compartment cover.
3.2. Press the button on the handle to release
the catch.
3.3. Lift the engine cover.

4. Remove the engine compartment cover as
follows:
4.1. Support the engine compartment cover with
suitable lifting equipment.
4.2. Remove the nuts 1.
4.3. Disconnect the gas strut from the engine
compartment cover.
