1.14 Certifier40G Functions
1.14.1 Adapter Detection
Certifier40G software automatically detects the adapters
connected to the local and remote units and configures the
test to match these adapters. Conflicts between the installed
adapter and the testing selections generate an error
message.
1.14.2 Digital Fault Finding
Certifier40G software automatically pinpoints cable fault
locations and causes, reducing problem resolution time and
increasing operator productivity.
1.14.3 System Requirements
Depending on the adapters you are using, the standard
Certifier40G kit (NGC-4500-FA-xx) contains everything
needed to certify copper cabling up to Category 6A/Class E
using RJ45 connectors.
To certify using other copper connectors or optical fiber
cabling, please purchase the appropriate adapter.

To print reports, archive test results and download
Certifier40G profiles, the PC based data management
software, Certifier40G Reporter and a Windows PC are
required. The PC must run Windows 2000 or higher. This
PC based SW will is available on the included USB drive.
To transfer files, profiles and software updates using a USB
thumbdrive, the PC must be equipped with a USB port.
