Emergency procedures
NOTE:
The positive terminal of the battery is covered by a protective cap.
Lift the cover to access the terminal.

IMPORTANT!
Do not get too close to the radiator cooling fan when the bonnet
is open. It may be activated at any time when the engine is
running. The blades of the fan may cause severe injuries.
Remove any metal objects, such as rings, watches, bracelets,
that might cause accidental electrical contact. Risk of serious
injury.
The batteries contain sulphuric acid that can burn skin or eyes
and generate flammable and explosive hydrogen. Thus keep
away flames or devices which may cause sparks.
1. Apply the parking brake, put the automatic transmission in P
(park) or N (neutral) or the manual transmission in N (neutral),
when turn the ignition device to OFF/ LOCK.
2. Turn off the heater, the radio and all unnecessary electrical
devices.
3. If another car is used for jump starting, park the car within the
range of the cables, engage the handbrake and make sure that
the ignition device is turned to OFF/ LOCK.
IMPORTANT!
Prevent the cars from touching to avoid a connection to earth which
could cause severe injury.
