Emergency procedures
IMPORTANT!
Do not connect the cable to the negative terminal (-) of the flat
battery. The following spark could lead to battery explosion and
cause serious harm.
Only use the specific earth point; do not use any other exposed
metallic part.
5. Start the engine of the car with an auxiliary battery, let it idle for
some minutes then start the engine of the car with flat battery.
6. Once the engine is started, remove the cables used as a jumper
in the reverse sequence:
Disconnecting the cables
1. Disconnect the end of the cable used for negative (-) from the
engine earth of the car with flat battery.
2. Disconnect the opposite end of the cable used (-) from the
negative terminal (-) of the auxiliary battery.
3. Disconnect the positive end of the cable (+) to the positive
terminal (+) of the auxiliary battery.
4. Disconnect the opposite end of the positive cable (+) from the
positive terminal (+) of the car with flat battery.
4.2.3 EMERGENCY REFUELLING
Fuel refuelling procedure in case of an emergency is described in
"Emergency refuelling with a petrol can".
