What to do if my Jet-tech Dishwasher overflows?
    • B
      Bryan WilliamsAug 15, 2025
If your warewasher is overflowing, the drain outlet hose may be kinked or blocked; straighten or unblock it. Also, the drain pump might be blocked or defective; call for service to address this issue, keeping in mind that blockages due to food or debris are not covered under warranty. High incoming water pressure could also be the cause; if it's above 3 BAR, a Pressure Reducing Valve must be installed. Excessive suds from non-commercial detergent can also cause overflow. If this happens, turn off the washer, drain the wash tank, remove as much suds as possible, and run the unit without the overflow pipe for 2-4 minutes before refilling.

What to do if my Jet-tech F-16DP will not operate or start?
    • E
      eclarkeAug 18, 2025
If your dishwasher won't start, first check if the Power ON Indicator Lamp is off. If it is, verify the breaker and all electrical connections. If the Power ON Indicator Lamp is on, make sure that the water supply is turned on.

What to do if drain time exceeds 2 minutes on my Jet-tech Dishwasher?
    • I
      isaiahthompsonAug 22, 2025
If the drain time exceeds 2 minutes, the drain hose may be kinked, or the drain is blocked. The drain pump may also be blocked and/or defective. Unclog or reposition the hose, and/or replace the drain hose. Unclog or replace the drain pump, as required. If problems persist, call for service.

Why does my Jet-tech F-16DP fill constantly?
    • C
      castillodanielAug 25, 2025
Your dishwasher may be filling constantly because it was turned off for several hours without draining the wash tank. Turn the machine off, remove the overflow pipe, and drain the unit completely. Clean the wash tank and filters, replace all parts, close the door, turn the machine on, and let it fill. Alternatively, the overflow pipe in the wash tank might not be positioned correctly; ensure it drops straight down into the drain receptacle without forcing it. If neither of these solutions works, the water level system may be defective, and you should call for service.

Why does my Jet-tech F-16DP Dishwasher make a high pitch noise during the wash cycle?
    • S
      sarah04Aug 28, 2025
A high-pitched noise during the wash cycle usually means there's too much detergent in the wash tank. Reduce the amount of detergent you're using. Drain the unit, refill it, and run a wash cycle. If the squealing continues, call for service.

What to do if my Jet-tech Warewasher fills in less than 1 minute?
    • J
      justin17Aug 31, 2025
If your warewasher fills in less than 1 minute, the incoming water pressure is probably too high (above 3 BAR). If the water pressure is above 3 BAR, a Pressure Reducing Valve must be installed. Also, the water level may be low because the air trap has dirt in it; clean the air trap by pouring water over it.

Why is my Jet-tech Warewasher filling in more than 3 minutes?
    • J
      joegomezSep 4, 2025
If the warewasher is filling in more than 3 minutes, the incoming water pressure may be incorrect. The unit requires a minimum incoming water pressure of 2 BAR. Check that the shut-off valve is fully opened. If the incoming pressure is still low, a pressure-booster pump to increase the water pressure may be required. Additionally, water may be leaking down the drain, so remove and reposition the overflow pipe.

What causes spotting or streaks on wares from my Jet-tech Dishwasher?
    • D
      Deborah FrancoSep 7, 2025
Spotting or streaks on wares usually indicates that the rinse pump needs to be primed or adjusted. Prime and/or adjust the rinse pump.
  • M
    Melanie StephensSep 12, 2025
Why is the wash pump not operating consistently on my Jet-tech Dishwasher?
    • S
      Steven NelsonSep 12, 2025
Inconsistent wash pump operation can occur if the machine hasn't been leveled. Level the unit using the four adjustable feet. Also, the water level in the wash tank may be too low (below the level of the screens). Turn the machine OFF, remove the overflow pipe, and drain the unit completely. Pour hot water over the air trap, close the door, turn the machine ON, and let it fill. The water level should be even with the screens. If problems persist, call for service.

Usage Features

The dishwashers are designed for ease of use with a control panel that includes a pressure gauge, start button, power switch, wash and rinse water temperature displays, cycle pilot light, ready temperatures pilot light, power pilot light, and a drain button (for models with drain pumps).

Starting the Dishwasher:

  1. Ensure the dishwasher is empty, and screens and overflow pipe are in place.
  2. Close the door.
  3. Press the round grey power button (C). The machine will fill and heat water (approximately 2 minutes to fill, 20 minutes to heat). Do not open the door during filling.
  4. The booster heats first, then the wash tank.
  5. The "ready" light (G) indicates maximum temperatures are reached (150-165°F for wash, 180-190°F for rinse).
  6. Load dishes into the basket and slide it into the dishwasher.
  7. Close the door and press the round grey start button (B) to begin the wash and rinse cycle.
  8. Once the cycle light (F) goes off, open the door and remove the tray for air drying.
  9. The machine is ready for another wash as long as temperatures are within parameters.

Draining the Dishwasher:

  1. Turn off the power.
  2. Open the door and pull out the overflow tube (water may be hot) to drain the wash tank.
  3. For models with a drain pump, press and hold the gray drain button (I) until all water is gone. Avoid letting dirt go down the drain to prevent blockages.

Chemical Pumps: The machines are equipped with factory-installed liquid detergent and rinse-aid pumps. Calibration is done at the factory, but adjustments can be made using the adjustment screw (clockwise to increase, counter-clockwise to decrease). To prime the pump, the dishwasher must be empty of water. Turn off the water valve, close the door, and turn the machine on. Let the detergent be drawn up through the dishwasher. If the detergent has passed through, turn off the machine, open the water valve, replace the overflow tube, and turn the machine on again. The machine should fill normally.

Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and performance of the JET TECH dishwashers.

Daily Maintenance:

  • Empty the dishwasher.
  • Clean the basket.
  • Clean all screens.
  • Clean the wash tank without using abrasives or a hose.
  • Verify chemical levels in containers.

Weekly Maintenance:

  • Clean wash-arm jets by unscrewing them and removing the wash-arm by unscrewing the center knob.
  • Visually inspect the chemical pump for broken tubes. Turn off power and open the front panel with a screwdriver for inspection.
  • Descaler may be required.

Monthly Maintenance:

  • Visually inspect inside the machine for any water or chemical leaks.

Annual Maintenance:

  • A complete verification by a qualified technician is recommended.

Important Notes for Maintenance:

  • Always shut off both power and water supply before removing panels for maintenance or repairs.
  • Only qualified and/or licensed technicians should repair the equipment.
  • The manufacturer's warranty covers defects in material or workmanship for one year from installation (or 18 months from shipment), with exceptions for shipping damage, incorrect installation, unauthorized adjustments, lack of regular maintenance, wearable items (curtains, tubing, gaskets), excessive lime/mineral/alkali/hard water, and incorrect detergent use. Model F-14 has a 90-day labor and one-year parts warranty.
