This document is a comprehensive manual for JET TECH commercial dishwashers, covering installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. It is intended for the end-user and emphasizes the importance of proper installation by licensed technicians and adherence to local codes.
Function Description
JET TECH dishwashers are commercial ware-washing machines designed for high-temperature dishwashing. They are available in various models (F-14, F-16DP, F-18DP, F-22, 727E, 737E, 747HH, 757E, 777, 787) to suit different operational needs. The machines are equipped with features for efficient washing and rinsing, including chemical pumps for detergent and rinse aid, and booster elements for maintaining high water temperatures. The manual highlights the importance of using appropriate non-commercial type detergents and maintaining correct water temperatures and pressures for optimal performance and to meet NSF standards.

Usage Features
The dishwashers are designed for ease of use with a control panel that includes a pressure gauge, start button, power switch, wash and rinse water temperature displays, cycle pilot light, ready temperatures pilot light, power pilot light, and a drain button (for models with drain pumps).
Starting the Dishwasher:
- Ensure the dishwasher is empty, and screens and overflow pipe are in place.
- Close the door.
- Press the round grey power button (C). The machine will fill and heat water (approximately 2 minutes to fill, 20 minutes to heat). Do not open the door during filling.
- The booster heats first, then the wash tank.
- The "ready" light (G) indicates maximum temperatures are reached (150-165°F for wash, 180-190°F for rinse).
- Load dishes into the basket and slide it into the dishwasher.
- Close the door and press the round grey start button (B) to begin the wash and rinse cycle.
- Once the cycle light (F) goes off, open the door and remove the tray for air drying.
- The machine is ready for another wash as long as temperatures are within parameters.
Draining the Dishwasher:
- Turn off the power.
- Open the door and pull out the overflow tube (water may be hot) to drain the wash tank.
- For models with a drain pump, press and hold the gray drain button (I) until all water is gone. Avoid letting dirt go down the drain to prevent blockages.
Chemical Pumps:
The machines are equipped with factory-installed liquid detergent and rinse-aid pumps. Calibration is done at the factory, but adjustments can be made using the adjustment screw (clockwise to increase, counter-clockwise to decrease). To prime the pump, the dishwasher must be empty of water. Turn off the water valve, close the door, and turn the machine on. Let the detergent be drawn up through the dishwasher. If the detergent has passed through, turn off the machine, open the water valve, replace the overflow tube, and turn the machine on again. The machine should fill normally.
Maintenance Features
Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and performance of the JET TECH dishwashers.
Daily Maintenance:
- Empty the dishwasher.
- Clean the basket.
- Clean all screens.
- Clean the wash tank without using abrasives or a hose.
- Verify chemical levels in containers.
Weekly Maintenance:
- Clean wash-arm jets by unscrewing them and removing the wash-arm by unscrewing the center knob.
- Visually inspect the chemical pump for broken tubes. Turn off power and open the front panel with a screwdriver for inspection.
- Descaler may be required.
Monthly Maintenance:
- Visually inspect inside the machine for any water or chemical leaks.
Annual Maintenance:
- A complete verification by a qualified technician is recommended.
Important Notes for Maintenance:
- Always shut off both power and water supply before removing panels for maintenance or repairs.
- Only qualified and/or licensed technicians should repair the equipment.
- The manufacturer's warranty covers defects in material or workmanship for one year from installation (or 18 months from shipment), with exceptions for shipping damage, incorrect installation, unauthorized adjustments, lack of regular maintenance, wearable items (curtains, tubing, gaskets), excessive lime/mineral/alkali/hard water, and incorrect detergent use. Model F-14 has a 90-day labor and one-year parts warranty.
