  If your Jet Saw doesn't start, first, ensure it's properly connected to a power source and that the START button is fully engaged, while the STOP button is disengaged. Check for any damage to the cord and replace it if necessary. If the overload automatic reset has tripped, allow the unit to cool down completely before attempting to restart. If the issue persists, verify the amp setting on the motor starter. Also, verify that the saw is on a correctly sized circuit. If the circuit size is correct, there is probably a loose electrical lead. If you have access to a voltmeter, you can separate a starter failure from a motor failure by first, verifying incoming voltage at 220+/-10% and second, checking the voltage between starter and motor at 220+/-10%.   If your Jet Saw has a misaligned weld where the blade ends are overlapped, the pressure knob might be set for a wider blade than the one being used, so adjust the pressure knob correctly for the particular blade width.   If a weld could not be made on your Jet Saw and the jaws do not move, there might be a poor wire connection or a bad connecting point on the welding switch, so change the switch or grind the connecting port with a file. The transformer could also be burned out, so change or rewire it. Additionally, the blade might have oil or rust on it, so wipe off any oil or grind off the rust.

  A misaligned weld on your Jet Saw can occur due to dirt or scale on the clamp jaws or blade, so always keep the jaws clean and clean the blade before welding. It may also be caused by blade ends not being square, so before welding, grind the cut edges of the blade until they are square. Ensure the blade ends are correctly aligned when clamped in the jaws. Worn clamp jaws or clamp jaws not aligned correctly can also lead to misalignment, so replace or align the clamp jaws as needed.
