  An incomplete weld on your Jet Saw could be due to a pressure knob not set correctly, so make the appropriate adjustment. Improper clamping procedures can also cause this, so use proper procedures. The limit switch might not be adjusted correctly, so adjust it accordingly. A defective limit switch that doesn’t break the circuit at the end of the welding operation can also be the culprit, so replace the limit switch. Finally, clamp jaw movement could be obstructed by a kinked jaw cable or tangled wires; bend the cable and untangle the wires.

  A misaligned weld on your Jet Saw can occur due to dirt or scale on the clamp jaws or blade, so always keep the jaws clean and clean the blade before welding. It may also be caused by blade ends not being square, so before welding, grind the cut edges of the blade until they are square. Ensure the blade ends are correctly aligned when clamped in the jaws. Worn clamp jaws or clamp jaws not aligned correctly can also lead to misalignment, so replace or align the clamp jaws as needed.

Why is my Jet VBS-2012 weld area melting when I push the weld switch?

  If the weld area on your Jet Saw melts when you push the weld switch, it could be because the welding switch is cutting off late, so screw the welding switch connecting nut tighter. The welding press might also be too weak, so rotate the pressure selector knob accordingly. Additionally, the jaw movement could be too slow, so put some oil on the rear side of the welding lever and the two jaws.
