AUTO-CONNECTING EARBUDS
Press and hold both buttons 3+ seconds to power ON.
One earbud blinks blue/white indicating ready to pair to your device.
ADDING NEW / ADDITIONAL BLUETOOTH DEVICES:
Turn OFF Bluetooth from any previously connected device. Turn ON Bluetooth from new device.
Earbuds will automatically enter Bluetooth Pairing. Select “JLab JBuds Air ANC” in new device settings to connect.

This document describes the JBuds Air ANC earbuds, a wireless audio device designed for personal listening and communication.

Function Description:

The JBuds Air ANC are true wireless earbuds that connect to devices via Bluetooth. They are designed for listening to music, watching movies, and making calls. A key feature is Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which helps reduce ambient noise for a more immersive audio experience. The earbuds also offer a "Be Aware" mode, allowing users to hear their surroundings when needed. They come with a charging case that not only stores the earbuds but also recharges them, extending their usage time.

Important Technical Specifications:

• Connectivity: Bluetooth
• Charging: USB 5V 1A (or less) output device for the charging case.
• Battery Life (Voice Prompts):
  • "Battery Full": 100-80%
  • "Battery Medium": 80-20%
  • "Low Battery": Less than 20% (plays "Low Battery" when power decreases to 10%)
• Warranty: Limited Two-Year Warranty (U.S. based customer support). All warranty claims are subject to JLab Audio authorization.
• Water Resistance: Earbuds are sweat/water resistant, but the charging case is not.

Usage Features:

First Time Setup:

1. Auto-Connecting Earbuds: Press and hold both earbud buttons for 3+ seconds to power ON. One earbud will blink blue/white, indicating it's ready to pair.
2. Connecting to Bluetooth: Select "JLab JBuds Air ANC" in your device's Bluetooth settings. A "Bluetooth connected" voice prompt and solid white lights on the earbuds confirm connection.
3. Adding New Devices: Turn OFF Bluetooth on any previously connected device. Turn ON Bluetooth on the new device. The earbuds will automatically enter Bluetooth Pairing mode, allowing you to select "JLab JBuds Air ANC" to connect.

Button Functions (Left Earbud):

• Volume Down: Single Tap
• SIRI (iOS) / "OK GOOGLE" (Android): Double Tap
• Be Aware / ANC ON / ANC OFF: Press & hold 1+ second
• Turn ON: Press & hold 3+ seconds
• Change EQ: Triple Tap (cycles through 3 EQ settings)

Button Functions (Right Earbud):

• Volume Up: Single Tap
• Answer Call: Single Tap
• Hangup Call: Double Tap
• Reject Incoming Calls: Press & hold 1+ second
• Play / Pause: Double Tap
• Track Forward: Press & hold 1+ second
• Turn ON: Press & hold 3+ seconds
• Change EQ: Triple Tap (cycles through 3 EQ settings)

Additional Controls:

• Music/Movie Mode: Press and hold both touch sensors simultaneously for 3+ seconds.
• Power Off Without Charging Case: Turn off Bluetooth from your device settings. The earbuds will power off after 3 minutes.

Custom EQ³ Sound Modes:

Tap either the right or left earbud 3 times to cycle through three EQ settings:

• JLab Signature: JLab C3™ signature sound with amplified bass and vocals.
• Balanced: Even sound with no additional enhancements.
• Bass Boost: Amplified bass and sub-bass.

Fitting:

• The earbuds come with optional Cush Fins™ and ear tips. Users should try all options to find the best fit and proper seal.
• The Cush Fin should be aligned by positioning its contour around the microphone hole.

Charging Earbuds:

1. Match the L and R letters on the earbuds to the corresponding letters in the charging case.
2. Blue lights on the earbuds indicate charging; they turn off when fully charged.
3. When taken out of the case, earbuds will auto power ON and reconnect to the device.

Charging Case:

• Connect the charging case to a computer or a USB 5V 1A (or less) output device.
• LEDs on the case pulse white when charging and turn solid white when fully charged.

Troubleshooting:

• No Audio in One Earbud or Earbuds Disconnected (Manual Reset):
  1. Enter Bluetooth settings on your device and "forget" "JLab JBuds Air ANC."
  2. Open the charging case and keep the earbuds inside.
  3. On ONE earbud, quickly tap the touch sensor 7 times. The light blinks blue 3 times then turns off. Repeat for the other earbud.
  4. Wait 10 seconds, then open the charging case. Wait for one earbud to blink blue/white. The earbuds are now ready to pair.
• Echoes on Calls: Ensure the Cush Fin is not blocking the microphone port.

Quick Tips:

• Either earbud can be used independently. Simply remove one from the charging case, and it will auto-connect.
• Choosing the correct ear tip significantly improves audio quality and seal. Try all ear tips.

Maintenance Features:

• Cleaning: Wax may build up in earbud tips, affecting sound quality. Carefully remove wax with a cotton swab or small tool.
• Drying: Fully dry the earbuds before placing them in the charging case to prevent damage.

Cautions:

• Avoid extreme heat, cold, and humidity.
• Avoid dropping or crushing the earbuds.
• If discomfort or pain occurs, lower the volume or discontinue use temporarily. If regular discomfort persists, consult a physician.
• Treat earbuds like sunglasses; keep them in a safe location when not in use.
