5. Tighten the screws.
Note: If you must mount on an uneven surface, do not over tighten
the screws. Over tightening screws can crack the unit.
6. Install the data protection battery and wire the NAE.
See Installing the Data Protection Battery and Wiring the NAE for
details.
DIN Rails
To mount the NAE on DIN rails:
1. Mount two DIN rails horizontally so they measure 125+0.5 mm
(4.9+0.02 in.) apart (top to top).
2. Snap the DIN clips on the bottom of the unit to the outboard load
position.
3. Hang the NAE on both DIN rails at the same time using the DIN
rail hooks on the back of the unit (see Callout 17 in Figure 1).
4. Press the DIN clips back into position to secure the unit on the
DIN rails.
5. Install the data protection battery and wire the NAE.

To remove the NAE from the DIN rails:
1. Snap the DIN clips on the bottom of the unit to the outboard load
position.
2. Lift the unit off the DIN rails.
Enclosure
To mount the NAE in an enclosure:
1. Mount the enclosure per the manufacturer’s instructions.
2. Mount the NAE in the enclosure per the manufacturer’s
instructions, following the recommendations in the Correct
Mounting Orientations and Installation Considerations sections
of this document.
3. Install the data protection battery and wire the NAE.
