Ensure opening is square, plumb, and meets minimum height/width requirements.
Measure door height for proper clearance and mark stud locations for header support.
Install split studs and floor plate, ensuring plumb alignment with chalk lines.
Apply wall material to the opening edge and provide a firm nailing surface.
Attach door plates, mount door using hangers, and install guides and trim.
Remove adjustable end bracket and mark header for desired door size.
Cut the wood header and track to the adjusted length.
Reattach adjustable end bracket and cut header trim board to size.
