7.8.3.1 Filling the tip tanks
Filling is done through the dump valve of the 18 m tips using the water
filling tool.

CAUTION: The filling pipe diameter should preferably not exceed
12mm (0.5”) if the filling is done through the top filling
holes. Water tanks may burst under high water pressure
if the filling pipe is left unguarded in the filling hole
without sufficient venting area around the pipe.
If a vent/filling plug is fitted instead as an alternative to the vent hole,
filling can be done through the top filling hole. The filling holes are closed
by screwing the filling caps into position using the universal rigging tool.
CAUTION: The filling plug on the 18m tips can be either a plug with
two holes (same as inner wing filler plug without one-
way valves) or a plug with a single hole. Filler caps with
one-way valves are not permitted as venting in both
direction is required.
