Draining the tail tank is done by moving the single water dump lever to
the centre or forward position.
7.8.4.2 Non-Expendable water ballast
The non-expendable water ballast tanks are located behind the shear
web in the fin are not expendable and is used to trim the CG position for
pilot weight.
Filling is done through the filling hole on the left side of the fin.
These must be filled according to the procedure provided in Paragraph
4.5.7.1.
Draining is done by removing sealing vinyl stickers from the bottom hole
on left hand side of fin. Opening more holes will accelerate the dumping
process.
NOTE: Vinyl stickers with a diameter not less than 25mm should be
used to seal the hole on the fin. Due to the high pressure head
(SN080 and below) sealing tape may not be sufficient and
water can start leaking.
The non-expendable tank is divided into two tanks from SN080 and
onwards, as illustrated in Figure 7.8-7. From SN080 both tanks must be
