Operate the pedal to lift the trash compactor lid.
Raise the handle for the compaction mechanism.
Apply firm downward pressure on the waste to compact it.
Return the compaction handle to its original position.
Unfold the waste liner and position it loosely inside the compartment.
Raise the front part of the compaction plate.
Tuck the front edge of the liner into the bag grips.
