Outer skin on LAN cable 
Cut the metal braid and the external sheath at the point of 
entering t
h
e equipment.   
Only the sheath inside must be left uncut and allow 
enough length to connect to the chassis. 
 
Only this LAN cable (shielded by the sheath inside the 
metal braid) is needed for internal wiring.

Processing LAN connector 
 
 
First, let the boot go through the cable. 
 
Measure the length of the cable sheath that is to be peeled.   
NOTE: The rough standard is the length of your thumb   
(about 5 to 6
 cm).
 
 
Make a cut on the sheath by a wire stripper. 
NOTE: Do no
t rotate the stripper over 360 degrees.   
 
When using a cutter, lightly touch the sheath by the cutter to 
just make a 
cut on the sh
eath.
