9.6.1 Protective measures against
corrosion
If water has a water hardness of 0°e plastic
pipes or corrosion resistant pipes should be
laid. In the case of water with partial soften-
ing (approx. 10°e), zinced pipes and copper
pipes can be laid.
Our recommendation:
Install a JUDO JULiA metering pump in the
mixed water pipe downstream of the Soften-
er, in order to proportionately enrich the wa-
ter with a JUL mineral solution.
The JUL mineral solutions contain active
components, which stabilise the residual
carbonate constituents and create the pre-
requisites for developing a homogeneous
protective layer in downstream pipe sys-
tems. These active components correspond
to the prescribed type, quality and quantity
of the Drinking Water Treatment Regula-
tions.
