  If the length of thread remaining on the wrong side of the fabric after thread trimming varies on your JUKI sewing machine, adjust the position of the moving knife when the machine completes stop-motion (10 to 11 mm). Also, adjust the amount of lift of the button clamp jaw lever to 8.5 to 9.5 mm. Refer to '2-(5) Height and pressure of the button clamp.'

  If the button clamp fails to go up on your JUKI sewing machine, it might be because the hook section of the button clamp lifting link has worn out, in which case you should replace the worn-out parts with new ones. Also, ensure that the lifting hook is properly adjusted by aligning the end face of the lifting plate with that of the lifting hook at the time of stop-motion. Finally, if the clearance between the stitch adjusting cam and the roller is too large, adjust the clearance to 0.8 mm.
