Usage Features

Remote Control Functions:

POWER: Turns the TV on/off.
MUTING: Mutes/unmutes sound.
BASS (AV-21V531/AV-29V531 only): Activates/deactivates the Bass Reflex function for powerful bass sound. Requires the Twin Port Bass Blaster Unit to be mounted.
SOUND SYSTEM: Selects different sound systems (B/G, I, D/K, M) for clearer audio. Not available in VIDEO mode.
COLOUR SYSTEM: Selects different colour systems (AUTO, PAL, SECAM, NTSC4.43, NTSC3.58) for clearer picture.
DISPLAY: Continuously displays channel number or VIDEO mode.
CINEMA SURROUND: Enhances sound for a wider audience experience (HIGH/LOW/MONO SURROUND/OFF modes).

Maintenance Features

Safety Precautions:

Operate only from the specified power source.
Avoid damaging the power cord and main plug.
Do not block ventilation openings; maintain minimum distances (10 cm sides, 15 cm top/rear).
Do not allow objects or liquid into cabinet openings.
In case of fault, unplug and bring to JVC service centre; do not attempt self-repair.
Handle the TV screen carefully; wipe with a soft dry cloth, do not rub forcefully, and avoid cleaners/detergents.
Disconnect power plug from AC outlet when not in use for long periods.
Avoid dripping/splashing liquids on the apparatus; do not place liquid-filled objects on it.

Troubleshooting: The manual includes a troubleshooting section to address common issues:

Cannot turn TV on: Check main power button and power cord connection.
Screen turns blue: Check BLUE BACK function setting.
Remote control inoperable: Replace batteries.
Front panel buttons not working: Check CHILD LOCK function setting.

Twin Port Bass Blaster Unit (AV-21V531/AV-29V531 only):

Mount the unit correctly on top of the TV by aligning the mounting pin with the hole.
Firmly insert the connector into the BASS SPEAKER OUT terminal.
Caution: The unit is not screwed in; avoid resting hands/elbows on it, moving the TV with it mounted, or holding the TV by the unit to prevent damage or injury.
